Moving
ADM to a New Computer
I
have ADM on an old computer and I want to move it to a new
computer. How do I do this?
If you
have upgrades or modules to add to your ADM, wait until
after you have successfully moved your ADM to the new location.
Follow the instructions on the ADM setup CD to add your
upgrade, module, or license.
Review
each situation and select the one that best describes your
situation. Remember that the descriptions offered might
use words different from those you might use.
All
situations assume these conditions to be true:
- You
have a computer where ADM is or was installed (the "old"
computer), you want to install ADM on a different computer
(the "new" computer); and
- You
want to transfer the entered forms from the old computer
to the new one; and
- You
know how to use certain features or programs within Windows®,
especially "My Computer" or Explorer, and the
Control Panel. Without these skills, you cannot implement
the solutions below; and
- You
know how to access, and have proper security rights to
access, the folders where ADM is located on your old and
new computers. Without this knowledge or these rights,
you cannot implement the solutions below.
The
chart below helps you to select the correct solution for
your situation.

If you
do not want to transfer the entered forms from the old computer,
stop here and install ADM on the new computer.
If your
ADM is on a server and you want to allow access to it from
a workstation, stop here and complete the Workstation Install
process described in the "How To Install.txt"
document on your ADM CD.
