Q:
I have collected my data on ASEBA paper forms. What are my options
for scoring them?
ASEBA paper forms can be scored by hand or on the computer.
Scoring on the computer:
- The ADM program allows you to enter and score each of our forms.
See the ADM program for
more information.
- Our forms can also be scored by using Web-Link, our secure Internet
solution for entry and scoring of ASEBA rating forms. See What
is Web-Link for more information.
Scoring by hand:
- All of our forms can be scored by hand using the pre-printed
paper profiles and optional templates. See our current ASEBA
Catalog for more information. Please note that the on-line
version of our catalog requires Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do
not have Adobe Acrobat Reader you may download it for free by
clicking on the button below.

Q:
Is there any way for
my clients to enter their responses directly into the computer?
Computer entry by clients at your location:
- When they are at your facility, parents, teachers, and youths
can directly enter their responses to CBCL/6-18, TRF, and YSR
items via our ADM
Client Entry Module.
Computer entry by clients at other locations:
- ASEBAs Internet product, Web-Link, enables individuals,
parents, and teachers to fill out our forms on-line. School-age
forms (CBCL/6-18, TRF/6-18, YSR/11-18), preschool-age forms (C15/1½-5,
T15/1½-5), adult forms (ASR/18-59, ABC/18-59), and older
adult forms (OASR/60-90+, OABC/60-90+), are all available from
any computer with an Internet connection. Their responses are
automatically transmitted back to you. Find more details at the
Web-Link demonstration at www.web-link.org.

Can I read your forms using a scanner?
Our Assessment Data Manager (ADM) Scanning Module enables you to
process ASEBA school-age forms (CBCL/6-18, TRF/6-18, YSR/6-18) via
fax, image scanners, and reflective-read scanners.
For more information, see the Scanning

Q:
Is there any difference between data files that have been entered
by key entry and those entered by another method (scanning or client
entry)?
The three methods of data entry (key entry, scanning, and client
entry) create substantially identical data files.
Users of our ADM program will notice that it stores data from different
sources in different ways. When you view the list of forms entered
for a particular client; the leftmost column displays a letter that
identifies the mode of entry for each form. Those letters and their
meaning are as follows:
C - Client Entered
K - Key Entered
S - Scanned
V - Converted from ASCII data
W - Key-entered in Web-Link
E - Client-entered in Web-Link

Q:
I want to perform my own data analyses. What are the formats of
the raw and scored data files?
If you want to perform your own data analyses using the raw data
from our entry programs, you will need to be able to identify individual
items within the raw data files. The ADM program provides an Export
function that allows you to create files of raw and scored data
in different formats.
Refer to the ADM
Manual for more information.
