ADM 7.0 / 7.1 / 7.2 Password UPDATE

This update fixes a problem with the initial Supervisor password setting in ADM 7.0 - ADM 7.2. When passwords are turned on, the inital password for the user <Supervisor> is not set to "SUPER" as it should be, and the Supervisor cannot log into ADM. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

To correct this problem:

  1. Click on the download link below to the file "PWFix.exe". You can choose to run the file from its current location (go to step 3), or save it to your hard drive. If you save it to your local computer, select a location you will remember for the following steps.
  2. If you saved the file to your local computer, double click on the icon for it to start the program.
  3. The setup wizard will start. You need to specify the location of your ADM. The default location for most installations is C:\ADM. If you changed that location during the original installation, select the same location. If you do not know the location of ADM:
    a) Cancel the setup.
    b) Click on your computer's Start icon, select All Programs, then select ADM. Right click on "ADM - Assessment Data Manager" and select "Properties". The field "Target" will contain something similar to "S:\APPS\ADM\PROGRAMS\adm.exe" or "C:\ADM\PROGRAMS\adm.exe", depending on where it is installed. The folder you want is the folder before "PROGRAMS", for example "S:\APPS\ADM" or "C:\ADM". Make a note of this folder location.
    c) Restart the installer, and when prompted for the ADM location, click the "Browse" button and locate the folder from step 3.b.
  4. The setup wizard will run the fix for the Supervisor password and alert you when it is finished.
  5. When the setup is finished, it removes any working files it created.
  6. Start ADM, select the user <Supervisor> and use the correct password "SUPER".
